Islamophobia Awareness Month (November)
The theme for this year's Islamophobia Awareness Month is #FlipTheScript and it's about challenging stereotypes and sharing real Muslim stories.

Day of the Dead (Sat 1 to Sun 2 Nov)
Day of the Dead is a lively and colourful festival, which celebrates life. It's celebrated in Latin American communities across the world and particularly in Mexico.
Activities to try:
Bonfire Night (Weds 5 Nov)
In the UK, Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night, is the anniversary of a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605.
Activities to try:
- Cook campfire apples
- Play bonfire night safety charades
- Get creative with light painting
- Paint fireworks with a a flick

UN Climate Change Conference – COP 30 (10 to 21 Nov)
The largest annual gathering on climate change. This year's event, known as COP 30, will be held in Brazil.

Odd Socks Day is part of Anti-Bullying Week. It's all about encouraging people to wear odd socks to celebrate how we're all unique.

Armistice Day (Tues 11 Nov)
The 11 November is Armistice Day. It’s also known as Remembrance Day. Remembrance honours people who serve to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life. You can show your support with the poppy range from Scouts Store.

Origami Day (Tues 11 Nov)
Origami Day is an opportunity to celebrate the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. What can you create with a piece of paper?

- Make origami bookmarks
- Use folded paper tiles to play a game of Ddakji.
- Create origami Scout uniforms
- Make a feel good chatterbox
Trans Awareness Week (Thurs 13 to Weds 19 Nov)
Celebrate trans people and learn about LGBTQ+ history during Trans Awareness Week, and take a look at our trans flag badges on Scouts Store.

World Kindness Day (Thurs 13 Nov)
Whether it's a compliment or a smile, help to spread kindness in every community on World Kindness Day.
Activities to try:
- Be a top banana with a message of kindness
- Spread kindness through local media
- Make kindness pebbles
- Plant a kindness geocache

UK Disability History Month (14 Nov to 20 Dec)
This month is a great way to learn about disabled people now, and in the past, to create a more equitable way forward for all.
Activities to try:
- Play Inside-Outside and find out about hidden disabilities
- Learn about disability through famous faces
- Learn about different assistive technologies

Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week (17 to 23 Nov)
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, tasteless, odourless, yet poisonous gas that can make you seriously ill if you breathe it in.
Activities to try:
- Learn what carbon monoxide is with Not CO-ol
- Solve a meeting place mystery
- Solve a campsite mystery
- Make a picture from cold campfire ash

World Children's Day is all about children's rights and young people taking action on issues that matter to them.

World Hello Day is about promoting peace and understanding through communication.

- Practice meeting and greeting new people with hello with the flow

St Andrew's Day (Sun 30 Nov)
Celebrating the patron saint of Scotland, St Andrew, this has been a popular festival for over a thousand years. You can mark the occasion with a blanket badge from Scouts Store.
