International Day for the Abolition of Slavery (Tue 2 Dec)

On the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, Scouts reflect on freedom, dignity, and taking action to build a fairer, safer world for everyone.

Human Rights Day (Wed 10 Dec)

Human Rights Day marks the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It's the most translated document in the world and sets out the rights that everyone is entitled to.

The Winter Solstice, marks the longest night of the year while we look forward to the return of longer, brighter days.

Hanukkah is a Jewish festival, which lasts for eight nights. It's sometimes known as the Jewish Festival of Lights.

Christmas Eve (Wed 24 Dec)

Christmas Eve is celebrated around the world on the 24 December. Some countries may celebrate Christmas on this day, rather than on 25 December.
