Section 7: Scouting Safely
As an adult in Scouting you are a role model for young people.
Most adults in Scouting are great role models for young people, but there are some who do not see how their behaviour could put themselves and young people at risk. For this reason the Association has devised policies and guidelines that should be adhered to.
All the information about Scouting Safely can be found on our website. On the site you will find detailed information about:
- Risk Assessments
- Additional support materials
- Safe premises and campsites
- Event planning
- Near miss forms
- Ongoing safety training: e-learning
It is also important to make sure that your activities are managed safely and in line with TSA rules and guidance, you can access this via our Activities Finder.
