Advice about sexual orientation and gender identity
Adults in Scouting should be aware of issues such as everyday sexism, misogyny, homophobia and gender stereotypes and take positive action to build a culture where these are not tolerated, and any occurrences are identified and tackled. Adults have an important role to play in modelling positive behaviours.
Scouts accept a range of gender and sexual identities and we should work hard to not make assumptions and to speak inclusively. Everyone should be treated with respect and discrimination must be challenged.
