Third Party Agreements
Third Party Agreements
Scout Units often enter agreements with third parties. Examples of this can include community use agreements or funding agreements. If you're applying to get a grant or enter a funding agreement then check out our helpful resources on Grants and funds for your local group.
These agreements should be made directly between the Scout Unit and the funder or third party. There are limited reasons why the SATC needs to be informed or be a signatory to a funding agreement or community use agreement. A reason could be that the third party needs to register a charge against the property which the SATC holds on behalf of the Scout Unit. In any situation, the Scout Unit would be taking full responsibility for any obligations contained in the third-party agreement.
If you believe that your Scout Unit requires the SATC to be involved in their third-party agreement, please reach out to the SATC to discuss.
