Acquiring property

- Appointment (when a Scout Unit holds a freehold and wants to appoint the SATC)
- Buying (where a Scout Unit is purchasing a freehold and wants to appoint the SATC)
- Gifting (where a Scout Unit is being gifted a freehold and wants to appoint the SATC)

You can contact the SATC at any stage of this process. Please note that for a matter to be approved, all relevant internal SATC documents will need to be signed and returned. Please also send draft versions of the documents that require signing by the SATC Board.
For a freehold purchase the SATC Board should sign both the contract and the transfer document.

For a freehold sale the SATC should be involved with both the signing of the contract and the transfer documents.
As you are disposing of charity land, please talk to your solicitor about the Charities Act 2011 especially the need for a Section 119 report.
