Closing, merging, moving or changing a Scout Unit
Closing, merging, moving or changing a Scout Unit
When handling one of these matters you may need to complete a transfer of beneficial interest with the SATC. A transfer of beneficial interest is the process used to pass property held with the SATC between Scout Units.
In most cases you will first need to complete the required Scout Association forms. If you are completing a C2, C3, C4, or C5 registration form then please contact the SATC to see if a transfer of beneficial interest is required.
If the SATC holds property for your Scout Unit and you are changing the name of your Scout Unit, please update the SATC with your new name.
Please note, your Scout Unit’s lease or legal title could restrict your Scout Unit’s ability to transfer the property.
If you are unsure whether a transfer of beneficial interest is required, please reach out to the SATC for advice.
