Leases with the SATC

Leases with the SATC

Key matters that the SATC would need to be involved with:

  • New Lease
  • Lease Renewal (renewing an existing lease)
  • Deed of Surrender (the ending of a lease)
  • Deed of Variation (varying the terms of a lease)
  • Lease with the SATC as Landlord

Please use the relevant button below to select your specific matter. Start by reviewing the Procedure Document which explains the steps you will need to follow when using the SATC’s services.

You can contact the SATC at any stage of this process. Please note that for a matter to be approved, all relevant internal SATC documents will need to be signed and returned. Please also send draft versions of the documents that require signing by the SATC Board.

If you would like to appoint the SATC and already have an existing lease in place, then you may need to complete a process called 'assignment'. Please talk to your solicitor about whether this is possible under your current lease and then contact the SATC for the procedure.

If you are disposing of charity land, for example a sale or Deed of Surrender, please talk to your solicitor about your requirements under the Charities Act 2011 especially the need for a Section 119 report.
