Meet the Contingent Management Team
Leading our UK Contingent to Roverway 2024
Shaun
Contingent Leader
God morgen, jeg heter Shaun. I’m proud to be leading the team that’s taking you to Norway. I’m always trying to find more time to spend in the outdoors. And there’s nowhere that says outdoors quite like Norway. It’s heaven for the adventurers among us. I look forward to sharing it with you on Roverway.
Jono
Deputy Contingent Leader (Operations)
I’ve been a Cub Leader in my home town of Brighton for five years. I have been lucky enough to have travelled across the US, Asia and Europe, and settled in Sydney, Australia for many years. I’m still a passionate supporter of the Sydney Roosters NRL team! I was inspired to apply for the Roverway CMT following a 10-day Scout Camp to Kandersteg in 2022.
Matt
Deputy Contingent Leader (Programme and Support)
It’s fair to say that international Scouting is my bread and butter! I’ve been to 3 World Scout Jamborees, a Roverway and a Moot. I’m also a Consultant for World Scouting and volunteer with British Scouting Overseas, starting up 1st Prague. Generally you’ll find me halfway around the world from where I live, trying exotic brunches and the local coffee!
Charly
Training & Personal Development
I joined Scouts at 14 and am currently the Assistant County Commissioner for Scouts in Cheshire. When not Scouting you’ll find me out in the hills camping, climbing or kayaking along with my dog! I was a Patrol Leader on the last Roverway in 2018 and can't wait to see this opportunity through with the new patrols going to Norway in 2024!
Lucy
Participant & IST Support
I have been Scouting for the last 20 years, first in a sea scout group in my UK hometown. After moving to Belgium, I’m now an Explorer Leader in British Scouting Overseas. Apart from eating waffles and frites, you’ll find me searching for hills in a very flat country and or trying out my newfound love of yoga.
Martyn
Data Management
I've been in Scouts since I was a Beaver aged 6, and for the last 12 years I've volunteered with Beavers in Durham and Ewell, Surrey. When I'm not Scouting, you can find me on the side of a cricket field in the summer. I'm really looking forward to exploring more of Scandinavia, meeting all our wonderful contingent, and returning to my first world event for 7 years!
Sam
Communications & Media
Hei, I’m Sam. In Scouts, I’m normally volunteering with Cubs, running social media or leading adventurous activities. I’ve represented the UK at international events before, but it’s my first time going to both Norway and Roverway. I'm looking forward to sharing the experience of our contingent with the organisation and even wider!
