Announcing Strandfest

A special day to mark the end of Roverway 2024

On Friday 2 August, Roverway 2024 will come to a close and over 6,000 participants will begin travelling back home across Europe and the world.

The UK Contingent has an exclusive event planned at the stunning Sola Beach to join together and share our adventures.

Departing from the main site in Lundsneset after breakfast, we'll make the short journey by coach. We'll store luggage securely at the Sola Strand Hotel, and begin a fun-filled day of activities for our 331 participants and 100 International Service Team volunteers.

Strandfest will be the first time we'll gather the whole UK Contingent during Roverway. Sola Beach will be hub of meeting new people, having fun together and sharing. Whether it's stories from paths or memories made at the main site, we know you'll have lots to reflect on.

Practically, we've got space booked at the Sola Strand Hotel for lunch and back-up spaces for wet weather.

After Strandfest, all participants and some IST will be continuing the adventure with our UK Contingent post-event in Copenhagen. From Sola Beach, we'll take a short coach ride to the ferry terminal to begin the overnight journey.

For those IST beginning their journey home or continuing their adventures across Europe, Sola Beach is ideally located for Stavanger Airport.

We can't wait to bring our UK Contingent together for Strandfest, and share this special day with our followers back home.
