IST Travel Options

We’ve got four different options for IST members to tailor your Roverway 2024 experience. Take a read through the detail of each one below.

Option 1 – Roverway only (£900) 

This includes the Roverway event (22 July to 2 August) only. You will need to arrange your own travel to and from Norway.

Your exact arrival and departure locations in Norway, and dates, will depend on your IST role assigned to you by the Norway organising team.

Option 2 – Roverway and post-event (£1,399) 

After Roverway 2024, the UK Contingent are travelling to Copenhagen, capital city of Denmark, for a few more days of adventure.

Option 2 includes an overnight ferry and coach transfer to Copenhagen, arriving on 3 August, and two full days of programme there. In Copenhagen, you'll get hostel accommodation and food until 5 August.

During the post-event, the majority of IST will be ‘off-duty’ - there to enjoy the fun! Some IST members may volunteer to help with programme or organisation.

Your core dates will be 22 July to 5 August, subject to flight availability and your IST role. You will need to arrange your own travel to Norway, and from Copenhagen.

Option 3 – Roverway and flights (£1,499) 

In addition to Option 1, your flights to and from Norway will be included - organised by Travel Places (our chosen travel agency).

You will need to make your own way to and from your assigned UK airport. We’ll be asking for your preferred UK airport and will try to match this with flights as far as possible, although we cannot guarantee your UK airport. 

All travel and transfers are included until you land back in the UK. The exact dates of your departure and return will depend on flight availability and your IST role.

Option 4 – All in! (£1,859) 

This includes the Roverway event, the UK Contingent post-event in Copenhagen, flights to and from Norway, and all transfers within Norway and Denmark.

You will need to make your own way to and from your assigned UK airport. The exact dates of your departure and return may depend on flight availability and your IST role. 

The Norway organising team may also ask for some IST members to travel to the Stavanger site before the start of the event and/or remain onsite after the closing ceremony to support the set-up and demounting on the site facilities. As we get more information on this option we will let you know.
