Make your bed

  1. Everyone should take the sheets, pillow cases and the duvet cover off the bed.
  2. Everyone should put a clean set on the bed and neatly make it.
  3. Everyone should make their own bed every day for a week.

Reflection

This activity was about making you more independent, showing that you can change and make your bed without being asked. Why it is important to regularly change your bedding? What are the benefits of making your bed each morning? How can you make this a regular habit?

Safety

All activities must be safely managed. You must complete a thorough risk assessment and take appropriate steps to reduce risk. Use the safety checklist to help you plan and risk assess your activity. Always get approval for the activity, and have suitable supervision and an InTouch process.

Demonstrate how to fit a duvet cover if members of the group have not done it before. Try learning skills like hospital corners for an increased challenge.

Make it accessible

All Scout activities should be inclusive and accessible.
