Find and apply for a grant

Who can complete this task: All volunteers who are full members.

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk. 

On your welcome page: 

1. Click ‘My membership’. 

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right): 

2. Click 'HQ services'. 

3. Click 'Grants'. 

4. Click 'Apply for a grant'. 

On the 'Grants and funding' page: 

5. Click 'Advanced filter' on the right-hand side. 

A section with dropdown lists will appear under the introductory text. 

6. Select ‘Scheme type’, ‘Country’, ‘Region’, ‘Section type’, ‘Specialism’ and ‘New provision’ from the dropdown menus. You can select more than one option for each item. 

On the grants and funding list, under 'Scheme name': 

7. Click on the name of the grant to view more information. 

On the ‘Grants scheme details’ page: 

8. Tick the box to confirm you have read and understood the eligibility criteria for this scheme. 

9. Click 'Apply', or 'Cancel' to return to the grants and funding list. 

On the ‘Grant Application’ page: 

10. Complete the requested information and click 'Apply'. 

The information required might change depending on the grant.

You might be directed to a separate form or webpage at scouts.org.uk.

  

View my grant applications

Withdraw a grant application

Who can complete this task: All volunteers who are full members.

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk. 

On your welcome page: 

1. Click ‘My membership’. 

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right): 

2. Click 'HQ services'. 

3. Click 'Grants'. 

4. Click ‘My grant applications’.  

On the ‘My applications’ page, under ‘Scheme name’:  

5. Click the application name

On the ‘Grant Application’ page: 

6. Click ‘Withdraw’.

   

Support grant applications

Who can complete this task: Lead Volunteers and Chairs.

Start by signing in to scouts.org.uk.

On your welcome page: 

1. Click ‘My membership’. 

On the left-hand side menu (if you’re using a phone, click the menu button on the top right): 

2. Click 'HQ services'. 

3. Click 'Grants'. 

4. Click ‘Manage grant applications’.  

On the ‘Manage grant applications’ page, under ‘Scheme name’:  

5. Click the application name

On the ‘Grant Application’ page: 

6. Click ‘Application details’ to view more information. 

7. Select ‘Supported’ or ‘Not supported’. 

8. Type your comments into the box. 

9. Click ‘Submit’.
