The Scout Grants Committee

The Scout Grants Committee is the group of national volunteers that manages the grants provided to local Scouting by the Scout Association.

Quick links

There are currently five members with various levels of experience in a variety of local and national Scouting roles. One of our members is a young person (18-25 years old). There is also a senior member of staff, a Trustee and member of Team UK. Experience of funding youth organisations outside Scouting is also represented.

The Committee meets three times a year, but its members are active between meetings, advising potential applicants on how to design projects and providing quality assurance to our grant giving.

The Scouts are very fortunate to have received a number of donations from individuals and organisations to give back locally. These donations are for those who need financial support with Scouting and cover a range of activities. These grants are managed and given out by the Scout Grants Committee.

Chair

The current chair of the Scout Grants Committee is Frankie Smith.

Staff

The Scouts Grants Committee is supported by the Grants Manager, Alex Potter, and the wider Grants Team.
