Every member of your Executive should be encouraged to read through these pages and have an open and frank minuted discussion at an Executive Committee meeting about what you can genuinely afford to do for the young people in your area. We know there is money sitting in bank accounts that could be being used to make sure Scouting thrives, making a difference to young people who need it most. Once you agree to implement some sort of grant programme, the next steps are to consider the practical implications of running a grant programme.
