Celebrating award recipients

We recognise the amazing work our volunteers do and their commitment to the Scouts through our Good Service awards.

We also recognise youth/adult members for other special achievements through our Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry awards as well as the Cornwell Scout Badge and Chief Scouts Personal Award and St George’s Day provides us with a time each year, to specifically celebrate all of these individuals and publish their names in a Roll of honour.

When are award recipient names published?

Names of award recipients approved and sent out during the calendar year (January - December) are published in the Roll of honour in the year following the calendar year the award is sent out.

For a Meritorious Conduct/Gallantry award mailed out in April 2024 the award recipients name would feature in the Roll of honour published in 2025.

For a Good Service award decision submitted by 31 December 2024 and mailed out in February 2025, the award recipients name would feature in the Roll of honour published in 2026.

For members of the Scouts who have been awarded a National Honour in the 2024 Birthday Honours List (published in June 2024) or in the 2025 New Year Honours List (published in December 2024) the award recipients name would feature in the Roll of Honour published in 2025.
