The Growth and Communities team have a huge amount of expertise and experience in recruiting all kinds of volunteers and can take you through the different parts of the volunteer recruitment journey.

We run three webinars all focusing on different topics. You can come to one, two or all three. You don’t have to come to them in order, but they do follow on from each other.

1 - Tools, tips and tricks to recruit new volunteers

We will cover how to get people interested in volunteering and be able to walk away with tools and techniques that you can use to help recruit volunteers. 

2 - Building connections and managing enquiries

We will go through how to use the community around the group or district to get people interested in volunteering and what happens next if someone says they want to join your team. 

3 -Welcoming & Supporting Adults

We will talk through how to effectively provide warm welcomes and retain your new volunteers.

They say that many hands make light work, and nowhere is that more true than in Scouts, but how do we get more people on board?

Our face-to-face volunteer recruitment workshop is here to teach your teams the ins and outs of finding and keeping new volunteers. During the session, the engaging activities will get conversations flowing and provide participants with ideas they can take back to their Groups and Districts to boost volunteer numbers.
