Adult Surveys

Make the most of the skills and talents on your doorstep

What’s it all about?

Adult surveys are a quick and easy way for you to identify the skills that are available to you through the families and friends networks in your group and local community – breaking down tasks, making them more attractive and achievable and ultimately turning brilliant adults into brilliant volunteers before you know it.

How does it work?

Not comfortable in running the cyclist badge for Cubs? Mavis’s mum is a keen cyclist and is happy to help run a themed evening.

Looking for a baker? Paul's friend works in the local café and would enjoy helping for the evening teaching the cubs how to bake bread.

Need a social media expert? John’s brother is studying marketing at college and would love to run the group Facebook page.

In need of a treasurer? Laura’s best friend is an accountant and would be happy to help out.

Giving people the chance to help out with something they love means they’ll have fun and are more likely to help out again. In time, they may even join your leadership team.

To get things moving:

  • Take the time to talk to people when handing out the surveys.
  • Explain how valuable their input is.
  • Make sure you use all this amazing information, once you’ve gathered it.
  • Get those interested involved as soon as possible – signing them up for a slot on in the programme or on the adult rota or getting them involved with the four-week challenge.
