Equal opportunities
Scouts is an equal opportunity recruiter. We're committed to diversity and actively seeking applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, in particular, Black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.
About the role
In this role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of learning for everyone involved in international Scouting trips - from Visits Abroad Recommenders and Approvers to Event Leaders. You’ll make sure adult volunteers have the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to run safe, enriching, and well-prepared visits abroad, fully aligned with Scouting best practice.
You’ll also support specialist programmes such as the Explorer Belt and Community Projects by shaping learning that enables strong, capable leadership for these unique international experiences.
Collaboration is central to the role. You’ll work closely with teams including the Explorer Belt Delivery Team, Community Projects, and the UK Volunteering Team to ensure that learning reflects real-world needs and current policy.
Finally, you’ll champion international learning across the movement - raising awareness of training opportunities and helping more volunteers feel empowered to deliver life-changing international Scouting adventures.
The UK Visits Abroad Learning Team is part of the wider UK International Team.
