All-member programme update for March

Share

This is our all-member programme update for all Scouts sections for March 2025.

UK Youth Forum activities

Help young people have their say with our self-led UK Youth Forum activities. We want to make sure young people can shape the future of the movement. Our UK Youth Forum self-led activities are a key part of this, as they give young people a voice. Over the next few weeks, we’d appreciate it if you could run the self-led activities with your young people. We have activities for both the younger sections (Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs) and the older sections(Scouts, Explorers and Network). Once you’ve done one of the activities, please let us know what you hear by 18 April.

Delivering Scouts skills sessions

When delivering activities for your young people, here’s a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Preparation: Check all materials and equipment are ready and safe for use. Checklists can help streamline this process.
  2. Safety: Finalise your risk assessment and sharing the findings with young people and adults.
  3. Engagement: Plan activities that are engaging and suitable for the age group.
  4. Inclusivity: Make sure activities are inclusive and accessible to all Scouts, considering any special needs or accommodations.
  5. Feedback and Review: Encourage feedback from both young people and adults, especially if any incidents occur. Review your planning to continuously improve your sessions.
