Outcomes of the reviews

The independently-led review looked at:

• Preparation to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree. This included decision-making in the lead-up, risk mitigation and emergency plans.
• Situational and crisis management as the events unfolded in South Korea.

This review was designed to generate robust, independent learnings, consider best practice, and help us plan for and manage risks at future international events.

The operational review looked at:

• The operational aspects of the UK Contingent attending the 25th WSJ and made recommendations in relation to the framework within which any UK Contingent at future WSJs should operate.

This review will feed into the creation of a new standard operating procedure for all future UK Contingents attending WSJs, and how we support events within the UK.
