Outcomes of the reviews

Outcomes of the reviews

The independently-led review will look at:

  • Preparation to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree. This includes decision-making in the lead-up, risk mitigation and emergency plans
  • Situational and crisis management as the events unfolded in South Korea.

This review is designed to generate robust, independent learnings, consider best practice, and help us plan for and manage risks at future international events. We will share a summary of the review after it is produced, following the Board of Trustees meeting.

The operational review will look at:

  • The operational aspects of the UK Contingent attending the 25th WSJ and to make recommendations in relation to the framework within which any UK Contingent at future WSJs should operate.

This review will feed into the creation of a new standard operating procedure for all future UK Contingents attending WSJs, and how we support events within the UK.
