In addition to the items suggested as Contents for your first aid kit, there may be further items, such as paracetamol or other painkillers, that you wish to include when planning activities, such as residential experiences.

For these items, you should seek parental or carer consent.

A good way of doing this is to provide a list of medication (including the name, what it is used for, the brand and so on), with a tick box for the parent or carer to indicate if they're happy for their young person to receive the medication.

The parents or carer’s signature should be provided to state that the information provided is accurate.
