Rivers

Gloucestershire

  • Tewkesbury to above Maismore Weir and Gloucester Docks
    entrance is normally B1, but when in flood is B2
  • Maismore Weir and Gloucester Docks entrance to Boxbush, on ebb tide is B2, on flood tide with no bore is B3 and on flood tide with bore is A

Hereford & Worcester

  • Upper Arley to Tewkesbury : B1 when the river is in normal summer conditions; B2 when the river is in winter conditions, B3 when the river is in spate or flood conditions.  Always inspect Folly Point Rapids before shooting. There is a bylaw prohibiting the shooting of Weirs on the River Severn below Stourport.

Montgomery

  • Above Llanidlos is NOT normally canoeable
  • Llanidloes to Newton: B1 (often very shallow and not
    canoeable)
  • Newton to River Vyrnwy confluence: B1

Shropshire

  • River Vyrnwy confluence to Upper Arley
    • B1 in normal conditions, except 50 metres either side of Shrewsbury Weir
    • B2 when in flood or spate conditions

Essex

  • West of a line from Shoeburyness to Warden Point: B2

Greater London counties

  • Upstream of Putney Bridge: B1
  • From Putney Bridge to Purfleet: B2 (unless otherwise classified)
  • Woolwich Barrier Radio Control Zone: B3

Gloucestershire

  • All: B1

Kent

  • Dartford to Mucking Flats: B2
  • Mucking Flats to Lower Hope Point, up to one mile offshore: B2
  • Mucking Flats to Lower Hope Point, one mile offshore to the median line: B3
