Local Grant Paying In Process

Awarded a grant to reduce your IST Jamboree fee?

To provide consistent guidance for Scout Groups, Districts, Counties and external funders who wish to provide individual donations to International Service Team (IST) for 26th World Scout Jamboree 2027.

Process

  1. The donation-recipient is made aware by the donation-provider that they will receive funding of a specific amount. The UK Contingent is not involved in any aspect of this.
  2. The donation-recipient provides the donation-provider with the following information:
    1. Their unique ID Number. This is the individual’s EventsAir ID and is visible on their email communications from the UK Contingent.
    2. The Scout Association bank details:
Account name: The Scout Association – General Account
      Account number: 10009822
      Sort code: 20-06-05
      IBAN: GB89 BARC 2006 0510 0098 22
      SWIFT: BARCGB22
      Reference example: A Smith 1234 WSJ 73833
The reference should be: first initial, last name, EventsAir ID, WSJ 73833
  3.  The donation-recipient and/or donation-provider should email [email protected] to confirm:
    1. The donation amount
    2. Payment date
    3. Confirm the Reference used for the payment
  4. The UK Contingent Team will reply to the grant-recipient confirming the request.

Refunds, removals, withdrawals and role transfers

The UK Contingent has full discretion on refunds. If the donation-recipient withdraws from the Jamboree or transfers roles, it’s their responsibility to notify their donation-provider. The donation-provider may contact [email protected] to request a refund. The UK Contingent will not accept refund requests from the donation-recipient.

A refund will only be eligible if there’s a Contingent-wide refund provided, for example if the event is cancelled. See the Terms and Conditions (which can be found in EventsAir) for more information. In this instance, it’s the responsibility of the donation-recipient to notify the donation-provider that the UK Contingent is providing refunds and the donation-provider should contact [email protected] as soon as possible. If we don’t hear from the donation-provider before the refunds have been issued, it’s the responsibility of the donation-recipient to pay the grant provider their money back. The UK Contingent takes no responsibility for the donation money after it has been returned to either the donation-recipient or donation-provider.
