IST Travel Options and Fees
Information to support UK IST in choosing their travel option, and understand their fee.
The full IST fee includes travel to and from the Jamboree. However, you can choose to opt out of the full fee, and select one of the other travel options.
IST arrival on the Jamboree site will be on 27 July, with departure on 10 August.
You need to choose the option that works best for you. You’ll receive a link via email to EventsAir to make your choice.
Your travel options
- Flights via Warsaw
- Accommodation (if required) during transit
- Coach transfer to site
- Full return journey after the Jamboree
- Travel insurance inclusive
You’ll travel as part of the UK Contingent, with a structured journey from start to finish.
- Flights from a UK departure airport
- Accommodation if required during transit
- Coach transfer to site
- Travel insurance for the outbound journey
- Return travel after the Jamboree
- Travel insurance for your inbound journey
This is a great choice if you’re planning to travel onwards after the Jamboree for any independent travel.
Important: UK Contingent support ends when you depart the Jamboree site.
You arrange your own travel, and insurance, to and from the event.
You’ll need to make your way to one of the official entry points in Gdansk (see below), and manage your return travel independently.
This option gives you full flexibility but also full responsibility.
Important:
- The UK Contingent cannot support you with missed or disrupted self-booked travel.
- Responsibility begins only once you have arrived at an official entry point and completed check-in.
When you need to be there:
For IST:
- Arrival: 27 July
- Departure: 10 August
Some roles may require you to arrive slightly earlier (up to 2 days before). More detail will follow if this applies to you.
Arriving at the Jamboree (for No Travel option):
If you’re arranging your own travel, you must arrive via one of the official entry points:
- Gdansk Lech Wałęsa Airport
- Gdansk Główny railway station
- Gdansk ferry terminal
- Gdynia ferry terminal
- Amber Expo Parking
From there, you’ll be transported to the Check-in Centre at AmberExpo.
You must complete check-in before accessing the campsite. Entry to the site is not permitted without this.
Further details on the arrival and check-in process will be shared closer to the event.

Summer 2026 IST Cohort
We will publish the payment plan for this cohort by the time we offer roles out.
As this cohort of IST members will be joining the journey at a later stage, there are fewer costs associated with their participation. For example, they will attend one UK-based preparation event rather than two. As a result, the fee for this recruitment round is £100 lower than the fee paid by IST members recruited in the initial round.
Fees overview:
- Option 1: Full travel: £2660
- Option 2: Outbound Only: £2410
- Option 3: No Travel: £2100
