Delivering Supplementary Modules

This module is for Training Advisers, Nights Away Advisers, Activity Advisers and Creative Activity Advisers and Assessors. It aims to provide them with knowledge about the schemes in which they will be assessing learners, and the skills they need to assess learning needs, support learners in meeting these, assess skills and knowledge and provide effective feedback to learners.

This module (number 27) is designed for those who instruct adults, primarily on training courses. It provides them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to effectively instruct practical skills.

This module (number 28) is designed to give adults in Scouting the skills and knowledge they need to work with small groups and individuals in a learning environment.

This module (number 29) is designed to give adults in Scouting the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver effective presentations to audiences of varying sizes.

This module (number 30) is designed for those who support learning locally, such as Local Training Managers and Training Administrators.

This module (number 31) is designed to give adults in Scouting the skills and knowledge they need to plan and prepare a learning experience. The module is aimed especially at Trainers planning training and learning experiences.

This module (number 32) is designed to give adults in Scouting the skills and knowledge they need to plan, prepare and direct a learning experience. The module is aimed primarily at Course Directors delivering learning experiences.

This module is designed primarily for County Training Managers (CTM) and Local Training Managers (LTM). It provides them with the necessary skills to construct a plan to meet the training and learning needs for an area.

This module (number 34) is designed primarily for County Training Managers (CTM) and Local Training Managers (LTM). It provides them with the necessary skills to manage a plan to meet local training and learning needs.

This module is for Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders, Managers and Supporters. It should help you get a better understanding of how to facilitate and make reasonable adjustments in Scouts, in a way that’s constructive and effective.

This module is for all members of the Appointments Advisory Committee, including the Appointments Chairman and Appointments Secretary. It provides information and gives practical advice on the running of the Appointments Advisory Committee.

This module is for Section Leaders and Supporters who may organise or support residential experiences for young people as part of their role in Scouting. It is intended to provide an introduction to the skills related to running residential experiences and linked to the skills needed to gain a Nights Away Permit.

The module aims to provide the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to effectively mentor and coach both adults and young people in Scouting Roles.
