Tools, tips & tricks to recruit volunteers
Take a look at the info below that follows up from your Volunteer Recruitment Webinar: Tools, Tips & Tricks to Recruit Volunteers.
The Recruitment Cycle
Volunteer recruitment should be an ongoing process, with no start or end point.
Our Volunteer Recruitment Webinars cover the six steps of the Recruitment Cycle to help you prepare, find, welcome and support new adults as they begin their volunteer journey.
In session 1, we covered 'Work out what you need and who can help' and 'Spread the word and create interest'
Learn more about the Recruitment CycleIt's a TEAM thing!
There's a team for everyone at Scouts!
Working in teams makes things run more smoothly but also makes recruitment far easier.
If we can advertise that we need someone to take on a couple of tasks as part of a team, they're more likely to say yes than if we just ask for a Scout Leader.
If your team members all know what they're doing and are working well together, you'll improve the chances of a new volunteer staying for longer.
Recruitment Toolkits
We have grouped all our tools, tips and resources into helpful toolkits on the Growing Scouts webpages.
These are the ones that we highlighted during the webinar:
