UK Lead Volunteer for Safe Scouting

Leading a culture of safety, care and confidence across Scouts.

Equal opportunities

Scouts is an equal opportunity recruiter. We're committed to diversity and actively seeking applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, in particular, Black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.

About the role

The UK Lead Volunteer for Safe Scouting helps shape a culture where every young person can enjoy Scouts in the safest possible environment. It’s a national leadership role where you’ll work with volunteers and staff across the UK to champion safety, safeguarding, assurance and compliance through support, openness and shared responsibility. Sitting on the UK Leadership Team, you’ll lead and support volunteer teams, partner closely with senior staff, and help guide how safe Scouting is lived every day across the movement.

If you’re passionate about keeping young people safe, supporting volunteers with empathy and good judgement, and you’re ready to help lead safe Scouting at a national level, this could be the role for you.
