Team of Ten (Day of Celebration & Achievement 2027)

Join our UK Scouts volunteer team

Equal opportunities

Scouts is an equal opportunity recruiter. We're committed to diversity and actively seeking applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, in particular, Black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.

About the role

Each year, Scouts hosts the Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle – a unique and prestigious event that recognises the remarkable achievements of young people and volunteers across the Movement. The event celebrates King's Scouts, Gallantry Award recipients and adult award holders, welcoming up to 2,000 members, families and supporters to one of the UK's most iconic and historic venues.

For 2027, the event will take place on 25 April 2027, and we are seeking ten outstanding King's/Queen's Scouts to Take Centre Stage in delivering this special occasion.

The Team of Ten is a prestigious group that plays a central role in the event. Team members will either form the Colour Party, carrying the Scouts' Colours throughout the day, or join the Service Planning and Delivery Team, responsible for creating and leading the National Scout Service in St George's Chapel.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to represent Scouts on a national stage, develop new skills, work closely with other King's Scouts from across the UK, and contribute to a truly memorable occasion.

Colour Party (Six Roles)

Members of the Colour Party have the honour of carrying the Scouts' Colours during the Parade and within St George's Chapel, playing a significant ceremonial role throughout the day.

Service Planning and Delivery Team (Four Roles)

Team members will design, plan and deliver the National Scout Service, creating an inclusive and meaningful act of reflection and thanksgiving for King's Scouts, award recipients and invited guests.

Further information about Take Centre Stage and the individual roles can be found here.
