Session summary

  • This session celebrates the end of half term with time around the fire. 
  • By the end of the session, the scouts would have spent time chatting and singing around the campfire. 

Safety message

  • Always complete a register at the start of the meeting to record who is present.
  • Activities start when the first person arrives and end when the last person leaves, including leaders and their children.
  • Check the space is for hazards, keep the exits clear, and know the location of the nearest first aid kits.

Learn how to build and light a campfire, then sing campfire songs, to give everyone a warm welcome to a Scouts tradition.
