Membership badge

Once you've made your Promise, you'll earn your Membership Award, featuring an image of the fleur de lis. This is the international Scout symbol, worn by Scouts all over the world.

How to earn your badge:

  1. Know about the Scout Troop:
    1. Find out about the ceremonies and traditions in the Troop.
    2. Get to know other members and Leaders in the Patrol and Troop.
    3. Find out about the activities that the Patrol and Troop does.
  2. Know about joining your Troop:
    1. Learn and understand the Scout Motto, sign, salute and handshake.
    2. Show you know the general history and family of Scouts and Scouting around the world.
    3. Learn and understand the Scout Promise and Law and the rules of the Troop.
    4. Learn what to do at Investiture.
  3. Become a Scout by making the Promise.
