For some of the Scouts, this is the start of their three weeks of moving into the Troop. You could run the teamwork activities at the same time, and swap between them.
Safety message
- Always complete a register at the start of the meeting to record who is present.
- Activities start when the first person arrives and end when the last person leaves, including leaders and their children.
- Check the space is for hazards, keep the exits clear, and know the location of the nearest first aid kits.

- This is a great session to start with, as it allows new Scouts to start getting to know each other and work together in a team.
- By the end of the session, each Scout will have had the chance to learn everyone’s names, play some games and overcome a challenge together.
