Kris Murali

Meet our Executive Director of Finance and Resources

Kris is the Executive Director of Finance and Resources and joined Scouts in June 2020. Kris is responsible for the corporate functions that include finance, HR, governance and legal, making sure the organisation is run efficiently with appropriate financial control, people policies and governance to deliver on the strategy.

Kris joins Scouts having worked for the disability charity, Sense, for over nine years, initially as Group Director of Finance and Resources and more recently as their Deputy CEO. At Sense, Kris managed the corporate support services including governance and also the trading portfolio of 115 charity shops and oversaw Sense International operating in eight countries.

Kris has considerable financial, commercial and general management experience in both the private and not-for-profit sectors having worked in the private sector as well as membership and social care organisations. Kris has been involved in managing and creating sustainable and profitable businesses and driving efficiencies. He was part of the team that created the Touchbase community centre for Sense in Birmingham.  

Kris is active in the community and is Vice Chair of the Board at the National Autistic Society and Independent Governor at the University of West London, the top modern university in London. Kris is Chair of the Board of Sense International in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and a Board member in India.
