Responsible to: Safeguarding, Vetting and Disclosures Manager

Department: Safe Scouting 

Base location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London ((with hybrid working) 1 day present in office per week; that includes in person Team Meetings/Trainings

Term: Fixed term for 6 months

Salary: £30,040.00 Band D, Level 3 per annum (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Line management responsibility: N/A

Safeguarding Support Officer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

We are looking for a Safeguarding Support Officer to join our Safeguarding Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the delivery of Safe Scouting across the UK.

In this role, you will receive and respond to safeguarding enquiries and referrals, accurately record information, and complete a range of vetting tasks to support effective safeguarding processes. You'll need excellent customer service skills, some safeguarding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn new systems quickly while managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.

The role is based at Gilwell Park. Your first two weeks will be office-based for induction, after which you'll work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of one day per week in the office.
