A bit about the role

We're looking for an Extending Reach Manager to lead Scouts' work in growing and strengthening engagement with the diverse Muslim communities across the UK. As our professional lead for Muslim community growth and engagement, you'll develop and deliver strategies that increase participation, representation and sustainable growth, working closely with volunteers, community organisations and colleagues across Scouts. You'll lead a team of Growth & Recruitment Officers and provide expert advice to help build confidence, cultural competence and effective approaches to inclusive community engagement.

Working with the Senior Growth & Innovation Manager, the Muslim Scout Fellowship National Support Team and colleagues across the Movement Support & Growth Department, you'll ensure a joined-up approach that makes Scouting more accessible, relevant and responsive to Muslim communities. You'll capture insight and learning from growth activity, embedding successful approaches across the organisation and using evidence to inform future practice, innovation and funding opportunities, helping more young people and adult volunteers benefit from Scouting.
