Pride in London 2026
Join Scouts at Pride in London on Saturday 4th July
Applications to join Scouts in the Parade at this year's Pride in London are now CLOSED.
We're back and all set to share with you how to join us at Pride in London again this year, where Scouts will be celebrating our commitment to delivering on our EDI principles and demonstrating our Scout values publicly.
Find out here how you can be part of this amazing event - a truly memorable, exciting, and spectacular day out, promoting diversity and inclusivity in Scouting to well over 1 million people attending Pride in London.
Parade places
This year, the event is taking place on 4th July. Attendance in the parade with Scouts is open to Explorers (14-17) and to any 18+ members. You can apply using the registration form.
Please note: Parade places are very limited and always in high demand, so all requests for places registered by the closing date will be entered in a ballot (random draw) for a place.
Family Area volunteers
We're always look for volunteers to help us in delivering a fun activity based day for families attending Pride in London, so if you are interested in volunteering to support Scouts in delivering the Pride in London Family area, please take a read of the information below and submit your interest using the registration form.
Attending Pride in London with Scouts
The parade is open to all members who are 14+ (young people and adults), either attending as an individual or with other scout friends or members of your local unit.
To volunteer with us in the Family area you will need to be an (18+) adult member.
This year, there is just one registration form for everyone to apply individually (where we'll also ask who you're planning on attending with), so, even if you're an Explorer and planning on attending with other members of your unit, you will need to fill in the form to register yourself.
Timings for the day will be sent out nearer the time, but you should ensure you are available for the whole day (from at least 9am-6pm). For Parade participants, there will be a pre-parade gathering in the morning, and then the parade itself (which can be any time in the afternoon, depending on our place allocation in the parade). Similarly, if volunteering in the Family area, there will be a morning meeting prior to set-up, then the event will run all afternoon.
Supporting the community – volunteering in the Pride in London Family area
Partnering with Pride in London, Scouts will again this year be helping to run the Family area, where we deliver some of the Scouts programme activities in a fun, interactive space for younger members of the community, and engage with families and young people, helping us to promote, share, support and grow local scouting.
Additional Information:
On the day, we are looking to our 18+ members to support this, where we need help with setting up the area, running the activities, helping and engaging with visitors on the day, as well as clearing the space at the end of the day too.
Please note: Applying to volunteer in the Family area does not affect your chances of getting selected in the ballot for the Parade if you are also applying for that.
As part of this role, we will register you with Pride in London (PiL) as a volunteer. You will be required to complete their online learning for event staff. Details of this will be shared nearer the time. Please do not register with PiL separately if volunteering with the Scouts.
All parade participants will receive a Pride in London Event Steward t-shirt to wear when volunteering in the Family area.
Main applications are now closed, so please email: [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering in the Family area and the team will be on touch.
Confirmation emails (for those who have applied before the closing date ) will be sent out during the first week of May.
