Windsor - Take Centre Stage

What is Take Centre Stage?

If you've gained your Queen's Scout Award or King's Scout Award why not Take Centre Stage at Windsor Castle?

Each year, we recruit young people and adults to take a leading role in our annual Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle.

We're looking for enthusiastic people who'll take on lots of exciting and challenging roles at the event. These volunteers make the experience enjoyable for everyone who attends.

The Team of Ten includes six members of the Colour Party, who march with the flags throughout the day, and four members of the Service Planning and Delivery Team, who deliver the National Scout Service in St George's Chapel.

How to apply

Criteria

If you'd like to take part in either role, you must have achieved your Queen's or King's Scout Award and be over 18. For a role in the Team of Ten, you'll also need to be aged 18-26 at the time of the event, or have paraded in the 2023 event.

Commitment

A Selection Event will be held in October. The Team of Ten will then train and prepare, one weekend a month from December - February. All roles will come together to rehearse in March, and to play their part at the Event in April. The full details of the training weekends are in the application form below.

Applications for the 2025 Team of 10 and Section Leaders are now open until 31 July 2024.

If you have any questions, please email windsor@scouts.org.uk and the team will be in touch as soon as possible.
