We’re working with England Rugby to help young people develop important life skills through the power of rugby

Scouts and England Rugby are joining forces on an exciting new initiative aiming to teach young people important life skills.
We also have an exciting opportunity for Scout Groups to be twinned with a local rugby club, as well as a T1 Rugby programme that all Scouts can get involved in.

About the programme
Scouts and England Rugby have a natural alignment of values, with both groups bringing people together, while bettering their communities and teaching important life skills to young people.
Through the power of rugby, children can be taught important values such as teamwork, respect, enjoyment and discipline, which are easily transferrable to other walks of life.
The programme has several initiatives, including:
- Physical Recreation badge for Cubs and Scouts sponsored by England Rugby.
- Work with your Scout Troop to complete the physical activity badge through Rugby today.
- New rugby-inspired activities for Scout groups to do at Scout group locations.
- T1 Rugby festivals across the country linked to local rugby clubs
