Develop your Lifesaver decision-making and planning skills. Become primed in understanding how to react in emergency situations.
How to earn your badge:
Explain and, if you can, show how you would carry out a rescue from water using these methods:
- shout
- reach
- throwing a buoyant aid
- throwing a rope
- wade.
Reach the standard of one of these:
- Royal Lifesaving Society UK (RLSS UK) Rookie Lifeguard Gold Level 1 award
- Royal Lifesaving Society UK (RLSS UK) Survive and Save Silver Medallion award
Explain and, if you can, show what you would do if:
- a person fell through ice
- a pet fell through ice
