Session summary
This is a great session to start with, as it allows new Squirrels to start getting to know each other and find out about Scouts and the adventure they’re joining. By the end of the session, each Squirrel will have their own model campfire that they can take home and use to remind them of their Squirrels experience.
Safety message
- Always complete a register at the start of the meeting to record who is present.
- Activities start when the first person arrives and end when the last person leaves, including leaders and their children.
- Check the space is for hazards, keep the exits clear, and know the location of the nearest first aid kits.
