Session summary

Find out about the range of technologies available to support disabled people, then get active with a game of goalball. 

Safety message

  • Always complete a register at the start of the meeting to record who is present.
  • Activities start when the first person arrives and end when the last person leaves, including leaders and their children.
  • Remember to review your risk assessment to ensure you have enough adults, which may be more than the minimum ratio.
  • Check the space is for hazards, keep the exits clear, and know the location of the nearest first aid kits.

Equipment

  • Scrap paper
  • Pens or pencils
  • Device with access to the internet
  • Scarves (such as neckers)
  • Something to mark lines (for example, chalk, masking tape, or rope)
  • Goalball (a ball with a bell inside), or a ball wrapped in a plastic bag that rustles
