Explore the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower icons to learn about the support and communication needs disabled people may have. Then have a go at fingerspelling.

Safety message

  • Always complete a register at the start of the meeting to record who is present.
  • Activities start when the first person arrives and end when the last person leaves, including leaders and their children.
  • Remember to review your risk assessment to ensure you have enough adults, which may be more than the minimum ratio.
  • Check the space is for hazards, keep the exits clear, and know the location of the nearest first aid kits.
