Scouts named Charity of the Year

Share

We couldn’t be prouder to be named Charity of the Year (with an income of more than £10 million) in the Charity Times Awards 2022.

This is a stunning achievement for the whole movement and one of the most prestigious awards we have ever won.

It’s a proud moment for our volunteers and staff as they continue to help more young people gain skills for life.

It’s a recognition of a remarkable turnaround in our fortunes, following the sharp drop in membership during the 2020-21.

The judges recognised the huge efforts that went into steadying our finances, the rapid resurgence in membership, and especially our determination to support new communities with the launch of Squirrels to help those hardest hit by the pandemic.

The award is thanks to the enormous team efforts and we’d like to say a heartfelt well done and thank you to every member of the movement for their great efforts this year.
