#RaceRoundTheWorld donations will be match funded

Share

Great news: we’re delighted to tell you we've secured match funding from one of our major supporters, up to our target of £300,000, as well as an additional kind contribution from the Pears Foundation and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport!

This means every £1 we raise will be doubled at the end of the race (up to the target of £300,000) and make an even bigger difference.

The massively generous donation comes from one of our supporters – a Scouts alumni member who’s experienced the difference Scouts makes first-hand.

Every penny you raise (plus the amount match-funded, up to £300,000, and the additional donations) will then be added to our ’Recovery Fund’, set-up to save the 500 groups hit hardest by the COVID-19 crisis, and make sure young people don’t have to miss out on all the benefits being a Scout can bring.

So, if you haven’t signed up for #RaceRoundTheWorld yet – why not join us?

We’re holding a Sprint Day this Sunday (6 December), and we’re asking everyone to complete at least one mile in their local area before meeting Ed Stafford live on Facebook at 5pm.

Or, if you’d prefer to give a direct donation please do so here.
