How to devise and deliver a social media campaign
Learn how to devise a social media plan and find out what makes an effective campaign
If you're keen to understand how to boost the local image of Scouts, then this session is for you. It’s one of a series we're running across 2026.
By the end of the session you'll be able to:
- Describe why having a social media plan is a key comms tool.
- Describe the elements of an effective social media plan.
- Describe the key social media platforms available and how to leverage it.
- Describe how and when to generate and share content that builds your community.
- Be able to identify key methods on how to support your online community.
- Describe the common pitfalls with social media (such as spamming high quantity, low quality content) and how to overcome these.
These online training sessions benefit from full participant engagement, so if you book onto this session please be prepared to ask as many questions as you want and to engage in any role plays used during the sessions.
We know from feedback from previous course participants that you'll learn more of the skills you need if you engage as fully as you can.
