UK Chief Commissioner

Tim Kidd

As UK Chief Commissioner, Tim heads up Team UK – a group of Commissioners who provide leadership and management across UK Scouting, along with specialised support in areas like programme, adult support and safety.

Tim first joined the Scouts as a Cub. Over the years, he has held many voluntary roles, including Scout Leader, Assistant County Commissioner (Scouts), District Commissioner and County Commissioner.

Tim is passionate about supporting and enabling volunteers. His primary aim is to lead the national team to ensure that Scouting across the UK meets our strategic vision – Skills for Life – Our plan to deliver better futures. By 2025 we will have prepared more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. We'll be growing, more inclusive, shaped by young people and making a bigger impact in our communities.
