Yatty Wu works at Google Cloud where he leads engineering teams supporting clients working with digital technologies in the retail and consumer industries. Alongside this role, he is co-lead of the organisation’s employee resource group (ERG) supporting Asian colleagues.
In a previous role at Microsoft he was part of the leadership team supporting the company’s race and ethnicity ERG, which was similarly focused on celebrating diverse cultures, driving talent attraction and retention, improving representation, addressing skill gaps and building new partnerships with agencies and clients to broaden the impact of change.
He also works with young people by mentoring those from disadvantaged backgrounds looking for careers in STEM and is a frequent speaker at school events and local Scouts activities to inspire future scientists, engineers and technologists.
With two children active in the Scouts since Beavers, he has seen first hand what the organisation can offer and he is passionate about making it accessible to as many communities as possible.
