Joanna Gregson

Joanna is Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the Scouts, leading our work to make sure young people of all backgrounds can be themselves and thrive in our movement.

Before joining Scouts, Joanna was Head of Enforcement at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Great Britain’s equality regulator and human rights institution. Here, she worked with organisations of all shapes and sizes, helping them to comply with equality law and improve their approach to diversity and inclusion.

She also led on the nationwide implementation of gender pay gap reporting.

Joanna is a qualified solicitor who spent the early part of her career fighting for justice for under-served and marginalised communities.

She joined the movement in November 2021 and is excited about helping the movement become more inclusive, giving even more young people life-changing experiences and the opportunity to develop skills for life.
