Kirsten started her career in practice whilst qualifying as an accountant, working in audit.
She has 25-years of experience of finance in complex charitable organisations, combined with commercial background.
Kirsten joined Scouts in 2026 from Sue Ryder where she had been Chief Finance Officer for more than seven years. Kirsten led major strategic finance initiatives, delivered on a significant divestment project and restructured and enhanced financial controls and assurance across what was a multi-site complex national charity.
At Sue Ryder she has also proudly been the Executive Leadership Team sponsor for the People with Disabilities network, championing inclusion and accessibility.
Kirsten is also Trustee and Treasurer of Hearing Help Essex, a small charity local to her that provides practical advice, hearing aid maintenance, and specialist guidance to help people across Essex manage hearing loss and stay connected. Each year, the charity supports over 10,000 residents, reducing isolation and improving communication for those living with hearing loss and impairment.
