Nights away at home

Nights away at home

Last updated: 26 March 2021

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers can take part in a sleepover or camping experience at home, under the supervision of their parents or carers. It doesn’t matter whether they sleep in a den in the living room, a tent in the garden, or even the bath – it can still count towards the nights away requirements of a range of badges.

Nights away at home dont count towards the Queen’s Scout Award, as they’re not appropriate for this level of award. Young people working towards their Queen’s Scout Award won’t be able to complete their nights away until restrictions are lifted.
